Biography
Dr Charles Lugero is currently working as an internal medicine specialist and senior cardiologist at Uganda heart Institute which is the national centre of excellence for the management of all cardiovascular disorders in the country.
He is the program director cardiology fellowship training at the Uganda Heart Institute
He is a honorary lecturer in the department of medicine, College of Health sciences, Makerere University
He is a senior cardiologist with expertise in non-invasive cardiac imaging mainly echocardiography and nuclear cardiology with clinical interests in bedside cardiology, heart failure, hypertension, atrial fibrillation and preventive cardiology.
Research interests are in the field of heart failure, hypertension and atrial fibrillation.
Dr Charles Lugero is a holder of cardiology fellowship from McMaster University, Ontario Canada, Masters of Medicine in internal medicine and Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery both from Makerere University, Kampala Uganda
